Jenna Kimberley, CEO of Kimberley Development, was invited to Ankeny Community School District’s annual “Principal for a Day” event on Thursday, October 23.
Kimberley, along with 19 other local business and community leaders, received the opportunity to experience the daily responsibilities of school principals and gain insight into education’s role in shaping workforce readiness.
“It was an honor to partner with the Ankeny Community School District and get a firsthand look inside our schools,” said Kimberley. “Education is one of the many vital ways we build and strengthen our communities, and Kimberley Development is proud to support our local schools and educators.”
Participants shadowed principals across Ankeny schools, engaged with students and administrators, and explored programs such as Orbis and upcoming district growth initiatives.
“Innovation in education doesn’t just happen — it’s strengthened by the community around it,” Erick Pruitt, superintendent of Ankeny Community School District, said in a prepared statement. “Principal for a Day gives our partners a deeper understanding of what it takes to educate, support, and inspire students each day. We hope it also sparks new ideas for how we can continue to work together in support of our schools.”
Thank you to the Ankeny Community School District for the opportunity to see how they’re shaping their students into future leaders for central Iowa and beyond!
