Supporting local communities has always been a major focus for Kimberley Development. Below are some of the areas of interest Kimberley Development supports.
Ankeny Miracle League & Playground
Kimberley Development is proud to have been a small part of making the dream of the Ankeny Miracle League & Playground a reality. This all-inclusive playground and ball field caters to the more than 3,500 children with special needs between the ages of 5 and 15 who live in the area and more than 800 who attend Ankeny Community Schools. This initiative developed from the lack of recreational facilities that exist to meet the needs of these children. The Miracle Field & All-Inclusive Playground facility was specifically designed for children with disabilities. It is located in Hawkeye Park in Ankeny and features a custom field made of cushioned, rubberized turf that is flat and free from obstacles, a network of “Buddies” to teach, assist, and protect players during play, and a 100% accessible playground on a rubberized surface. 1.7 million dollars was raised in a community effort to bring the park to fruition.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore
Ensuring every person is able to have a place to call “home” is near and dear to our heart. Kimberley Development donates home improvement materials such as cabinets, fixtures, and flooring to ReStore, which are then sold to the public at discounted prices. All the proceeds from ReStore benefit the mission of Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity to build more homes, communities, and hope right here in the Des Moines area.

Skilled Trades Alliance
Central Campus Iowa’s Premier Regional Academy for Advance Career Training partners with hundreds of business and community partners to help prepare high school students to be career ready upon graduation. Demand for student skills and abilities is nowhere greater than in the construction industry which is why Kimberley Development wanted to partner with the Skills Trade Alliance. Kimberley employees led a tour through homes in different stages where students were taught all the trades it takes to build a home.
